FREE Prenatal Consultations are provided by the physicians either during the day or evening hours by appointment.

Meet the Doctors

About Claire Cohen, MD
Dr. Cohen was born and raised in New York. She received her bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and then went on to receive her medical degree from SUNY Syracuse. She completed her pediatric residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. She has enjoyed caring for the garden city pediatric community for the past 20 years. On her free time she has a passion for traveling and photography.

About Anthony Battista, MD, FAAP
Dr. Anthony Battista has lived in Stewart Manor since 1984 with his wife, Maryanne. Together they have raised two children, Michael and Cristina. Dr. Battista went to Chaminade High School, earned a B.S. in Biology at St. John’s University, and received his medical degree sum laude from SUNY Brooklyn Health Science Centers. He did his training in pediatrics at the Steve & Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park and is Board Certified in Pediatrics. He had practiced Pediatrics in Mineola for 24 years before moving to Garden City in 2008. He is a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Hofstra University Medical School. He has served as President of the Nassau Pediatric Society and President of the American Academy of Pediatrics New York Chapter 2. Dr. Battista is currently a member of the Nassau County Board of Health and President of the Nassau County Medical Society.

About Ana Dellorusso, MD, FAAP
Dr. Ana Dellorusso was born and raised in Cuba until she left for Spain at the age of 9. At 12 years old she immigrated to America. She is married to Dr. Giuseppe Dellorusso and they have a 27 year old son named, Paul.
Dr. Dellorusso received her Bachelor's degree from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, City College New York. She received her medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. She completed her pediatric residency at Alexandra and Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Dellorusso is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She speaks Spanish fluently and has enjoyed practicing pediatrics at Park Pediatrics of Allied Physicians Group in Floral Park NY for the past 27 years. In April 2018 she was happy to join the team at Garden City Pediatric Associates-Allied Physicians Group. In her free time she loves to run, do Crossfit, scuba dive, and travel with her family.

About Melissa Cascio-Leva, MD

About Richard L. Sartori, MD
Dr. Richard L. Sartori completed his pediatric residency training at Winthrop University Hospital in 1990. He was the first recipient of the award for excellence in ambulatory care at Winthrop in 1991. He is board certified in pediatrics and speaks Italian fluently. He enjoys doing charity work in the orphanages in Kenya for the past 5 years and plans to return yearly. He runs the World Aids Half Marathon on Dec 1st in Kisumu Kenya after completing his volunteer duties.

Dr. Kathy Messina
Dr. Messina was born and raised on Long Island. She received her undergraduate education from SUNY Binghamton and her medical education from New York Medical College. After graduating medical school, Dr. Messina decided to return to Long Island where she did her residency training at Winthrop-University Hospital. She has been in practice for over 20 years including 17 years caring for the families of our service members at the Mitchel Field Family Health Center in Garden City. She maintains her current home on Long Island with her husband and three daughters. Her favorite past times include baking, gardening and attending concerts.

About Tammy Regnier, PNP
Tammy was born and raised on Long Island. She’s an active mother of 2 boys and a girl. She received her BSN at Molloy College and worked at North Shore University Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She furthered her career and received her Nurse Practitioner Degree at Adelphi. Tammy is a Lactation and Breast Feeding Specialist and has been working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Garden City Community for the past 16 years.
